Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
Delaware North is hiring full-time Reservation Agents to join our Reservation Center team located in Amherst, New York. As a Reservation Sales Agent, you will handle inbound calls from customers who wish to make reservations at hotels and resorts around the country. A qualified candidate will meet our companies’ vision by delighting guests to create world-class experiences.
This is a full-time remote position. However, some in-person training will be required at our headquarters in Buffalo, NY.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong phone and verbal communication skills
- Excellent listener
- Adaptable to different personality types
- Customer-focused with a love for helping others
- Maintain a positive, and professional attitude toward customers at all times
- Ability to multi-task
- Comfortable using computers with strong typing skills
- Able to utilize call center software and tools appropriately
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Must be able to sit for long periods
- Experience working in customer service or the hospitality industry is preferred

Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound customer calls and provide good customer service
- Identify customers’ needs and wants
- Use all available resources to answer customer questions
- Create reservations for customers and recognize opportunities to offer packages and additional services
- Communicate with hotel/resort front desk staff
- Collaborate with managers to assist customers and reach sales goals
