About the job
The role of Reservations and Business Development Assistant provides a crucial customer service touch point for the Jameson Distillery Bow Street. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to deliver a world-class experience for all of our customers and is a strong team player with a positive can-do attitude, as well as being performance-driven to maximise revenue potential per booking.
This is initially a 12-month contract.

You will be responsible for:

  • Handling incoming booking inquiries via phone or email including leisure groups/ad hoc/tour series and corporate.
  • Handling internal Pernod Ricard and Irish Distillers requests for tours and experiences.
  • Managing internal meeting room requirements.
  • Processing bookings and payments in a timely fashion.
  • Resolving booking-related issues, cancellations and changes in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborating and liaising closely with other departments across the business to ensure seamless operation and customer service.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date information on the reservation system.
  • Focussing on delivering world-class customer service and adhering to SOPs, company policies and procedures.
  • Supporting revenue growth ambitions via maximising revenue potential per booking.
  • Monitoring external events in the city and gathering industry intelligence when required.
  • Supporting Business Development Manager with site inspections, industry fam trips and ambassador outreach.
  • Account management - Nurturing relationships with trade partners
  • Always maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
  • Carrying out any other reasonable requests by management.
  • The role will be 9am-5pm/10am-6pm working five days out of seven, Monday – Sunday.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Attitude is everything, you will be passionate and have a desire for customer service or sales with minimum of 1-2 years previous experience working in customer customer-centric or sales environment within tourism, hospitality or retail.

  • Having excellent command of the English language both written and oral is essential.
  • Be a strong team player with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Be flexible and willing to respond to different work situations.
  • Commitment to delivering the highest standards of customer standards.
  • Have the ability to manage your time and prioritise your daily schedule.
  • Excellent computer and organisational skills.
