Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of our projects and ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. He will coordinate with the various stakeholders, manage resources, and to lead the various projects to successful completion. This position reports to the Facilities and Projects Senior Manager and will be on a 2 year contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee on-site construction activities from start to completion, including resource scheduling, management and coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among all site personnel.
  • Review and check through contractors’ submissions including but not limited to Risk Assessments, Method statements, materials, As-Built Drawings etc.
  • Manage project schedules and budgets, monitoring progress and addressing any issues that may arise to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project specifications are met.
  • Conduct regular project meetings and site inspections to assess work quality, safety practices, and adherence to project plans.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to provide project updates and address any concerns or issues.
  • Manage and motivate site personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photographs, and site records.

Requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil/construction/MEP management.
  • Proven experience in construction management, with a focus on site supervision and coordination.
  • Proficient in using Autocad and ability to update and interpret drawings.
  • Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage and motivate site teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong conflict management skills to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of construction and M&E techniques, Singapore standards and code of practice, and safety standards.
  • Attend site meetings, inspections and testing and commissioning.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses, such as the Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) certification, are a plus.
  • Prior experience in the hospitality industry will be an advantage.
