An exciting opportunity exists to join the Resident Medical Officers at Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.
“ISLHD is an accredited provider of the Workplace Based Assessment (WBA) Program, which provides an alternative pathway for IMGs to AMC Part 2 Clinical Exam. All candidates to the ISLHD WBA Program are current employees with a contract that incorporates the duration of the program. Selection to the WBA Program is separate to the workplace recruitment process, is highly competitive and not guaranteed. Applicants are accessed via a merit-based process. Candidates require a rotational RMO or Emergency Department position to apply.”

Responsibilities:

The Resident Medical Officer will provide effective, safe medical care to patients under supervision, as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The RMO may be allocated to various hospitals across the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District including Bulli, Coledale, Port Kembla, Shellharbour, Shoalhaven and Wollongong Hospitals as well as GP rotations in Milton. The RMO will have a more senior doctor on site at all times and will undertake patient care consistent with the level of clinical competency and experience of the appointed trainee whilst developing broad skills in clinical decision making and practice.
