Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Resident Medical Officer to join us through the State-wide Obstetrics and Gynaecology Departments across SA Health.

The Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) Resident Medical Officer will:

  • Contribute to the provision of clinical services across SA Health Local Health Networks in Obstetrics and Gynaecology under the supervision of the Consultant.
  • Participate in a seven-day roster including after-hours as required.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to clinical teaching and participate in research projects.

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 6 or 12-month Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service Registrar allocation will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
  • Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration
