Description:
(i) To take and carry out instructions from the Superintending Officer, SO Rep and/or Resident Engineer (RE) and represent the Superintending Officer, SO Rep and/or RE on site according to the requirements and needs of the Project.
(ii) To supervise and ensure the instructions from the Superintending Officer, SO Rep and/or RE are carried out on site. However, he shall not issue instructions involving cost or time implication to the contractors.
(iii) To supervise the execution of the works and maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance to the ContractSpecifications, Drawings, all other contract documents, site instruction, relevant Building Control Acts and Regulations and requirements or regulations imposed by the relevant Authorities.
(i) To assist the Superintending Officer, SO Rep and/or RE in all aspects relating to the construction of the Project, keeping and reviewing the record of works progress, materials, equipment at site, variation works, tests reports, inspections, provisional quantities, day works etc., monitoring Contractor’s schedules, observe and comply with site safety, and submitting all reports to the Superintending Officer, SO Rep and/or RE.
(ii) To attend all site progress, variation and co-ordination meetings and to keep proper minutes of these meetings, relating to the Project and other duties as directed by the Superintending Officer, SO Rep and/or RE from time to time.
(iii) To liaise and co-ordinate with Public Authorities/Statutory Boards/stakeholders and other Consultants employed by the Corporation.
(iv) To check shop drawings, samples etc. submitted by Contractors.
(v) To assist Superintending Officer, SO Rep and/or RE in the management of the site office, its cleanliness, proper filing systems, seating arrangement, maintaining office security and taking charge of office equipment assigned to the Project.
(vi) To provide full support and assistance to the Superintending Officer, SO Rep and/or RE in ensuring that their instructions are communicated effectively and works are being carried out in accordance with instructions from time to time.
(vii) To assist the Superintending Officer, SO Rep and/or RE in the review of Contractor’s proposed method statement and working procedure and to verify that they are properly executed on site.
(viii) To assist the Superintending Officer, SO Rep and/or RE to verify all variations carried on site.
(ix) To verify all reports and claims submitted by the Contractors.
(x) To check all drawings and specifications for discrepancies and report to the Superintending Officer, SO Rep and/or RE and to the attention of the Quantity Surveyor.
(xi) To assist the Superintending Officer, SO Rep and/or RE to verify all variations carried on site.
(xii) To verify all reports and claims submitted by the Contractors.
(xiii) To check all drawings and specifications for discrepancies and report to the Superintending Officer, SO Rep and/or RE and to the attention of the Quantity Surveyor.
(xiv) To ensure that works are carried out in a safe and proper manner and inspect completed works and report on defects.
(i) To assist the Superintending Officer, SO Rep and/or RE to prepare site instruction to the Contractor as well as list of defects of any completed works.
(ii) To assist in checking that Environment, Health and Safety matters are properly managed by the contractors and comply with the legislations.
(iii) To check on quality of materials delivered to site and report to the Superintending Officer, SO Rep and/or RE any materials that are not conforming to the specifications.
(iv) To monitor progress of rectification works and ensure all defects are satisfactorily rectified.
(v) To inspect and assist with handing/taking over of completed works.
(i) To carry out any other duties including administrative tasks as directed by the Superintending Officer. All any other instructions and/or requirements stated in the Work Orders issued by the Corporation and/or instructions and/or requirements instructed by the Superintending Officer from time to time during the Project.
(ii) To carry out any other duties according to the additional instructions and/or requirements stated in the Work Orders issued by the Corporation and/or instructions and/or requirements instructed by the Superintending Officer from time to time during the Project
