  • Make a difference every day in the lives of the underserved
  • Join a mission driven organization with a people first culture
  • Excellent career growth opportunities

NOW IS YOUR MOMENT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF THE UNDERSERVED.

If there is one unifying characteristic of everyone on our team, it is the deep desire to make a difference by helping society’s most vulnerable and often overlooked individuals. Every day we have the distinct honor and responsibility to show up with non-judgmental compassion to provide hope and healing to those who need it most. For those whose calling it is to serve others, now is your moment to join our mission to provide quality care to every patient with compassion, collaboration, and innovation, to live our mantra to “Always Do The Right Thing!”, and to collectively do our part to heal the world, one patient at a time.
How you make a difference:
The Residential Services Coordinator (RSC) is an entry-level position responsible for providing direct care to a specific patient population under the direction and supervision of treatment personnel at the facility. RSCs are trained to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the facility and during community visits. This position requires a willingness to learn, follow directions, and work collaboratively with treatment personnel to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of safety assignments throughout the facility, controlling ingress and egress points for staff and patients, and actively engage with patients to monitor their well-being while implementing individual de-escalation strategies and safety plans.
  • Contribute to treatment plans by providing input into goals and objectives developed by the treatment team, performing regular rounds, wellness checks, and monitoring medication distribution, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all patients.
  • Write detailed reports on various subjects, interact with the public as required, and follow policies and procedures while working in a model that involves verbally guiding patients and providing supportive oversight during off-site activities.
  • Monitor and track environmental concerns through inspections of equipment, systems, and physical structures, addressing emergency responses alongside clinical and medical team members to ensure patient safety and employing verbal de-escalation techniques to modify disruptive behaviors.
  • Maintain a proactive role in observing patients, providing de-escalation and redirection as needed, and actively participating in creating a safe and therapeutic environment through a focus on verbal guidance and communication rather than physical force whenever possible.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Prior work experience with psychiatric patients in a hospital or secure mental health setting preferred, with a focus on patient safety.
  • Must be willing to participate in extensive, ongoing training regarding serious mental illness, de-escalation and intervention techniques, core strategies, patient safety and trauma-informed care.
