Responsibilities:
Applications are invited from highly motivated persons to be part of our unique service model within the Homeless Health Service. Tierney House is a 12 bedded hostel located within St Vincent’s Hospital campus which will provide hostel accommodation to those experiencing homelessness within the inner city of Sydney. In order to provide a safe environment to the residents, Tierney House will facilitate individuals with access to in-reach healthcare (assessment, stabilisation and maintenance) and supported accommodation for up to 14 days.
Tierney House offers an excellent opportunity to be part of an innovative service. The Support Workers will provide 24 hour care, coordination, supervision and interventions to residents experiencing homelessness; providing a safe physical environment in which residents can receive their in-reach health supports. A comprehensive, orientation, training and education package will be provided for all new staff.
