Responsibilities:

ROLE: RESIDENTIAL WORKER

Salary: Up to £27,600 per annum (pro-rata) depending on experience
Location: High Wycombe, Bucks.
Contract/Hours: Permanent, Part-Time– 24 hours per week - Shifts are on a rota basis including earlies, evenings, and every alternate weekend.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Vines is situated in High Wycombe, just minutes off the M40, 20 minutes off the M25 and well served by the local public transport network. In this warm and welcoming house, we provide residential short breaks that support children and young people with learning disabilities aged 11 to 19 who have complex behavioural needs.
We are looking for a Residential Worker to join our fun and supportive team, who can bring their experience, can-do attitude and passion with them and help maintain the high standards already set by our wonderful team! Working hours are on a shift basis and you’ll know your rota a month in advance.
As a Senior Residential Worker, you’ll be undertaking the role of shift leading by supporting your colleagues to provide a safe, stimulating and caring environment for children and young people. You will support the children in all aspects of their care, link working duties for the young people and take a lead role in organising activities. You will be a shift leader who oversees the activities whilst on shift.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Assessing, reviewing, planning, and providing a 24/7 care service in line with regulatory requirements
  • Leading shifts and managing risks whilst maintaining high quality care that is safe, personalised and outcome focused for children and young people in our care.
  • Supporting with taking part in fun activities, learn new skills and work towards independence.
  • Supporting children and young people in their personal care, administration of medication and clinical procedures in line with the services policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring safeguarding practices are in place.
