Pet Paradise is looking for individuals with a passion for pets to join our team as a Resort Associate and provide care for our four-legged friends.
QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A RESORT ASSOCIATE
- This position requires a considerable amount of physical labor, including pet handling, walking, cleaning, and maintenance of the suites
- True passion for working with animals
- Cheerful, friendly, and a positive team-oriented attitude
- Comfortable being around dogs of all sizes and physically able to lift up to 60 lbs
- Flexibility to resort schedule needs including days, night, weekends, holidays, and peak times
- Ability to receive instructions and remain adaptive to change and training material
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and interact with pets both inside the resort and outside in the play yards
- Following directions on feeding times, amounts, and type of food
- Maintaining cleanliness of suites and dog runs by disinfecting, washing floors, scrubbing walls and removing animal waste
- Emptying trash, mopping all floors, and cleaning restrooms, common areas, and the employee breakroom
- Monitoring and recording important information about our pets and reporting any unusual behaviors, injuries, or critical information to management and veterinarian services if applicable
- Using proper dog handling techniques as instructed by management
- Keeping dogs secure and maintaining a high standard of pet safety by following and adhering to the training policies
