Description:

Following the award of funds from the National Institute for Health and Social Care Research, Lancaster Medical School are seeking to appoint a Resource and Project Coordinator. You will be responsible for assisting the management of the £850k project looking to develop new infrastructures for supporting decision making for radiotherapy for gynaecological cancer. This will include supporting the project team with general administrative duties for example coordinating arrangements for travel and accommodation, scheduling and managing of diaries, and liaising with the procurement team to approve requests and track delivery. They will work closely with project team and wider university staff to ensure timely processing of fees and expenses claims from team members and patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) panel members and be responsible for setting up meetings or event registrations, coordinating the production and circulation of papers/event materials, organising venues and refreshments as required, and minute taking.
The role will support the Project Manager, also based at Lancaster University, and the joint lead applicants based at Lancaster and Bangor Universities.
You will have evidence of providing administrative support in a university or research environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to develop effective relationships with external colleagues including members of the public.
