As the need for our services grows and becomes increasingly complex, Catholic Charities is working to adapt and respond. We respond in three ways – preventing poverty, meeting basic needs in times of crisis, and creating pathways out of poverty.
WAGE RANGE: $20.90 - $24.40/hourly
JOB SUMMARY: Catholic Charities is seeking a self-motivated leader who is dedicated and detail-orientated, compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally aware to serve as a Resource Coordinator at its St Paul Opportunity Center.
The Resource Coordinator works with clients to increase housing stability by assessing their needs and connecting to benefits; available community partners and resources; and applicable Catholic Charities services to support client success.
They will adhere to data documentation requirements and serve as an advocate for the client.
This position will work with a variety of individuals and community partners to ensure the needs of the program and clients are being met, and maintain productive relationships with internal and external parties for the purpose of providing quality client services.
They will ensure that policies and procedures are enforced consistently.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERTISE:
- Post-secondary education in human services or related field and one(1) years of experience working with a specific client group is required.
- In lieu of degree, two (2) years of demonstrated experience working with specific client group delivering services is required.
- MNsure Certified Navigator required if required for position (can be obtained upon hire).
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, funders, county staff and other agency personnel.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of current insurance coverage. If driving of clients is required for the position.
- CPR/First Aid certification required (can be obtained upon hire).
- Ability to work with diverse and/or low-income populations, including those who may be experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, and/or mental illness required.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize guiding principles in engagement of clients: journey oriented, trauma-informed, non-judgmental, harm reduction, trusting interpersonal relationships, strengths-based, positive youth and/or adult development.
- Effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisor, county workers, billing and accounting staff and other individuals.
- Provide direct coverage hours within a specific unit or program.
- Evaluates, facilitates, and monitors services and progress in relationship to established individual and programmatic goals, community with team to adjust case plans as necessary.
- Supports and advocates on behalf of clients in the procurement of services and benefits entitlement. Including connecting clients with vital paperwork to their service provider.
- Collaborates with case managers throughout Catholic Charities to help deepen the connection between them and their clients.
- Makes referrals and coordinates appropriate community resources.
- Maintains complete data documentation and records, as required by Catholic Charities, funders, or licensure/regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with Development in coordinating site tours, along with being a point person if outside providers seek counsel for resources based out of Catholic Charities.
- May be responsible for purchasing supplies for programmatical needs.
- May collaborate with community partners that are providing services onsite to schedule room assignments and needs.
- May coordinate housing referrals through the coordinated entry system.
- May attend community trainings and panels representing Catholic Charities to ensure our neighbors and community providers are aware of services we provide for the community.
- Other duties as assigned.
