Description:
This is a very community-facing position. The Resource Development Director relationally engages with donors to share the impact UWHC makes in Hancock County and ensures the success of annual workplace campaigns through
- analysis of data
- development of strategies
- ongoing recruitment, coaching and leadership of campaign team
- hosting special events
- creation of compelling print materials
- smart use of technology and systems.
- tailor and execute the initiatives necessary to achieve assigned campaign growth, retention, participation, and revenue goals
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, organizational, time management, interpersonal, public speaking/presentations, and communication skills - both written and oral
- Interpersonal excellence - working with and inspiring volunteers and key members of the community
- Demonstrated ability to create, grow and retain strong customer relationships
- Three to five years professional work experience, with two or more years’ experience in fundraising, business development, sales, communication and/or public relations
- Ability to analyze and understand financial and statistical data and present them well
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions and improve processes
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Strong computer skills, with experience with Microsoft products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Salesforce CRM

Responsibilities:
DONOR RELATIONS DUTIES
- Tell United Way of Hancock County’s story well
- Maintain, develop, and cultivate long-term sustainable relationships with corporations and individuals
- Develop individual relationships with community leaders
- Nurture strong corporate relationships with key individuals and senior leadership
- Strengthen Lead United giving by cultivating new and existing donors
CAMPAIGN AND FUNDRAISING DUTIES
Through the annual campaign and its related strategies, build awareness of the United Way, its mission, fundraising, and recruitment needs
- Create and oversee strategies to increase giving and reach annual campaign goal
- Develop and implement strategies for year-round cultivation for existing and new accounts
- Create engagement plans for companies - developing top account strategies
- Monitor performance of campaigns, providing progress reports and projections
- Implement new fundraising techniques in response to a changing environment
- Review and improve campaign processes with an eye for continuous improvement, building and refining replicable processes.
- Lead data analytics.
- Manage the capture of donor information with 100% accuracy goal.
- Use Salesforce CRM information for data analytics and donor engagement improvement
- Monitor incoming gifts and ensure smooth receipt and acknowledgement process,
- Track and evaluate effectiveness of strategies, campaigns, and overall results.
- Use data analysis to identify trends/solutions, troubleshoot, and ensure reach goal
- Engage and leverage key volunteers to implement strategies
- Inspire and lead Campaign Cabinet and corporate workplace representatives
- Recruit, orient, train, advise, support, motivate and recognize Ambassadors
- Ensure effective campaign marketing materials are produced
- Assist in the design and preparation, review and enhancement of campaign marketing materials that actively engage donors
- Strategize, plan, communicate and execute special events
- Solicit sponsorship support
- All other duties as assigned
