Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Law Staff is assisting an award winning, future-focused national mid-tier firm who is seeking a Resources Lawyer to join the firm’s cutting-edge resources practice located in their Brisbane office.
Reporting to industry leaders, this role will provide a mix of both litigious and advisory work servicing a diverse range of clients including government and private.

The day-to-day work mix of matters include but is not limited to the following:

  • Land Access Agreements
  • Tenement and regulatory compliance including compulsory acquisition matters
  • Land Court advice, mediations and negotiations
  • Native title and cultural heritage negotiations
  • Local government / administrative law advisory
  • Planning and environment approvals and appeals
  • Due diligence

To secure this role, you will have:

  • 3+ years PAE up to Senior Associate level specialising in planning and environment and or native title / cultural heritage law.
  • Experience in Administrative Law and or / the Local Government Act
  • An ability to work effectively both autonomously and in collaboration with a close-knit team
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet competing deadlines
  • Possess excellent attention to detai
