Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Editorial Content Manager in the Marketing team, the Social Media Specialist is responsible for the editorial calendar, planning, creation, management of content for social media and reports on performance results for Altitude Sports, The Last Hunt and Vallier.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Collaborate with the Editorial Content Manager to create the yearly content strategy and monthly editorial calendars
  • Manage social media accounts to engage and grow our audiences on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn
  • Generate, edit, publish and distribute regular content that builds brand awareness, engagement and product knowledge (original text, images or video)
  • Film and edit short videos intended for social media (Instagram Reels, TikTok).
  • Act as on-camera talent when needed.
  • Write engaging social media captions, ensuring content is impactful across channels and ensuring brand consistency
  • Establish relationships/networks of industry professionals or influencers on social media (follow our partner brands and comment on their posts when relevant)
  • Develop growth hacking strategies for our accounts (e.g. experience contests)
  • Optimized ecommerce functionalities on social platforms, alongside effective metrics for gauging success
  • Engage with user-generated content on which we are tagged
  • Monitor our online communities and engage with people who comment on our posts
  • Collaborate with the brand partnerships and the paid media teams to create digital campaigns to support content strategy and grow social media audience.
