Description:
We’re looking for our next Assistant Restaurant Manager for District Food Hall at Pearson International Airport!
The Distillery Restaurants Corp., creators of Cluny Bistro, El Catrin, Pure Spirits Oyster House & Grill, Madrina Bar y Tapas, District Pizza and Distillery Events (Archeo and The Loft) are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Restaurant Manager for our District Food Hall at Pearson International Airport to oversee the operation for Distillery Bar, Archeo Pizza, Cluny Grille, and El Catrin Taqueria under the guidance of our General Manager. The ideal candidate not only understands that exceptional food and beverage is at the heart of hospitality but that they are an ambassador to Toronto’s unique F&B culture for an international audience.
WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE WITH THE DRC:
- $55,000 - $60,000 per year, plus benefits and food discounts at all our restaurants.

WHAT WE’D LIKE YOU TO BRING TO THE KITCHEN:
- EXPERIENCE. We’re looking for a candidate who has restaurant management experience.
- EDUCATION + TRAINING. A degree or diploma related to Food and Beverage or Hospitality Management is considered a strong asset. You must possess a Food Handlers and Smart Serve certifications.
- FLEXIBILITY. You must be available to work days, evenings and weekends, early morning hours 3 a.m. shifts.
- PASSION. You’ll have a passion for a great F&B experience, but more importantly, a great employee experience!
- DRIVERS LICENSE. Having a driver’s license is considered advantageous due to early morning shifts
- CRIMINAL RECORD SCREENING. A successful candidate must go through extensive security clearance administered by the GTAA.

Responsibilities:
- Recruiting, training, developing and communicating with FOH and BOH teams.
- Developing, planning and assigning daily goals, tasks and employee assignments.
- Managing, supervising and evaluating team performance and providing feedback including disciplinary action.
- Assisting in monitoring sales performance through the analysis of sales reports and comparison shopping.
- Maintaining adherence to all DRC and SSP policies and procedures, as well as provincial health/sanitation standards.
- Managing all office tasks, including management of funds, receiving, inventory, purchasing, team member scheduling and payroll.
