We pride ourselves on delivering a memorable dining experience to our guests, and we’re looking for a dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team to new heights

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Restaurant Manager to oversee all operations at Peppina Restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing high-volume restaurants and a deep understanding of both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. An in-depth knowledge of wine is highly preferred, as we aim to enhance our guests’ dining experiences through our curated wine selection.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a high-volume restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace and professionalism.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations and best practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of wine, including varietals, regions, and food pairings (certification preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems (Micros).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a diverse team of servers, bartenders and hosts.
  • Manage staffing levels and schedules to meet operational needs while controlling labour costs.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and increase revenue.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and quality food service.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage financial aspects including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Curate and manage the restaurant’s wine list, including staff training on wine pairings and service.
