Restaurant Manager

We are looking for a restaurant manager to join our team.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 3 years of work experience at the management level in any industry, including as an assistant manager
• At least a related NZ Register Diploma Level 5 qualification may substitute for the experience
• Must have work experience in the customer service field
• Must have knowledge of Thai food ingredients as we take food allergies seriously

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Collaborating with chefs to design menus
• Coordinating and supervising special events
• Overseeing daily operations of both front-of-house and back-of-house
• Managing the procurement and pricing of supplies within budget
• Monitoring inventory and financial records
• Controlling costs and identifying opportunities to reduce waste
• Projecting future requirements for supplies, utensils, and cleaning products
• Regularly assessing product quality and sourcing new suppliers
• Ensuring dining areas comply with health regulations and maintain a clean, functional, and appealing appearance
• Delivering exceptional service and enhancing customer satisfaction with food and service
• Addressing customer complaints promptly and accurately
• Recruiting, training, and supervising waitstaff and kitchen staff
• Scheduling and managing shifts for waitstaff and kitchen staff
• Promoting the restaurant within the community
• Establishing policies and procedures for ongoing restaurant operations
• Potentially taking reservations, greeting guests, and taking orders
