Job description
Situated in the heart of the Arctic TreeHouse Hotel (https://arctictreehousehotel.com/), Rakas Restaurant & Bar (https://rakasrestaurant.com/) charms with its unique ambience and menu of meals made from fresh local ingredients prepared with a modern twist. We offer our guests a unique dining experience and are passionate about ensuring quality dining under the warm glow of pine cone lamps and stylish interior design. The name of our restaurant is Rakas, which is Finnish for beloved, and perfectly describes our understanding of what great food should be - local food with love.

Waitering Team plays a crucial role in the success. This team works closely with the Kitchen team, to ensure extraordinary dining experiences. Waiters provide attentive service, facilitating smooth operations and contributing to overall customer satisfaction. Their professionalism, product knowledge, and interpersonal skills can significantly enhance the dining experience for customers. Duties include:

• Warmly welcoming guests
• Excellent customer service
• Food and beverage service with a good understanding of the menu items
• Provide recommendations to customers
• Table maintenance, ensuring that customers have everything they need
• Transaction handling accurately and efficiently while providing courteous service

General requirements

• Hygiene pass
• Capable of completing work tasks independently as well as working in a team
• Ability to take responsibility and maintain the highest level of standards
• Problem-solving skills & you are self-driven
• Good communication skills
• Positive attitude & motivation to learn
• Fluent English language
• Ability to legally work in Finland
• Previous experience from restaurant work

• Collective Agreement for the Hotel, Restaurant and Leisure Industry (Sundays and official holidays are double paid in Finland)
• Flexible working hours from Monday to Sunday with alternating days off
• Average work hours 90 h/3 week, during the season the amount is usually higher
