Description:

Resuscitation Department Administrator, Band 3 (22.5 hours a week)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Resuscitation Department to provide administrative support. Day to day the role will include managing your own workload whilst also ensuring the day to day activities are covered to support the departments service, this will include; monitoring our generic email inbox containing a range of enquires from wards, staff and external candidates relating to our resuscitation courses. You will be the first point of contact when arranging external courses delivered by the department on behalf of the Resuscitation Council and other Life Support Groups.

This role also offers the variation of getting involved with supporting the technological side of Resuscitation Department teaching as we will be looking for the successful candidate to help the Resuscitation Practitioners with equipment troubleshooting during externally taught courses, set up teaching rooms, take a lead role in the booking and receipting of simulation equipment used by many members of the Trust for in situ Simulation and teaching.

  • Overseeing the Resuscitation Department Generic Email Inbox
  • Generate and action procurement processes for stationary, course materials and equipment
  • Administrative support for the department to ensure the continued efficiency of the Resuscitation Service
  • Receive and confirm training bookings for Resuscitation courses (ILS / PLS) from selected specialties within the Trust
  • Deal with all enquiries relating to all the Resuscitation courses provided by the Department
  • Provide administrative support particular to externally run courses during the course whilst running; in particular manage the Candidate bookings, Course preparation and arrangement of the teaching Faculty
  • Produce invoices to internal departments in relation to courses taught
  • Support the Deteriorating Patient and Resuscitation Committee by providing administrative support to include emailing out the Agenda, taking and typing up minutes, managing the ongoing Action Log
  • Raise orders and invoices, Receipt orders, manage expenses claims and accommodation for visiting faculty
  • Monitor self booked classes via the ESR system
  • Liaise with external network to arrange meetings and training
  • Update and maintain equipment such as iPads and LEAP pads
  • Identify equipment replacement needs
  • Help trouble shoot equipment issues during courses
  • Arrange and pre-book rooms for future teaching - monitor these and cancel when required
  • Work within external computer and IT systems to register candidates on courses

  • Other Subject Matter Experts within Corporate Education
  • Clinical Lead for Resuscitation and Chair of the DPRC
  • Members of the Acute Care Response Team
  • Key staff members from Trust Wide Specialities
