Mister Safety Shoes is looking for a dynamic District Manager to oversee the operation of the company’s six (6) retail stores in Pickering, Oshawa, Belleville, Kingston, and Ottawa.
You will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing store operations across multiple locations within the assigned district. The role will involve managing store teams and maintaining high customer satisfaction standards. The role also requires collaborating closely with various internal departments to drive operational excellence, manage resources, and contribute to the growth and profitability of the retail team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post secondary education or equivalent is required. Post-secondary education in hospitality, business, or other related education would be considered an asset.
  • Proven experience as a Retail District Manager or similar role, demonstrating strong problem-solving and leadership skills would be an asset.
  • Flexibility to work shifts within retail hours of operation.
  • Ability to commute to the locations in the district, with the possibility of overnight hotel stays.
  • Ability to carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Capability to climb ladders safely to access elevated areas when required for job tasks.
  • Flexibility to stand for extended periods, bend and move comfortably to perform job tasks.
  • Proficient computer skills to efficiently handle tasks and navigate digital tools such as computers, POS systems, and scanners.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word & Excel
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, ensuring positive interactions with both staff and customers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales and performance data and implement strategies to improve performance.
  • Ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships while motivating teams to achieve their goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and perform duties with a sense of urgency.
