People2people are recruiting for a Retail Interior Designer to join a worldwide renowned brand on a 12 month fixed term contract.
This job is 1-2 days per week in the office, located a short 20min train journey from London Waterloo.
This unique opening for a Designer to contribute to the dynamic restaurant design is working for a well known brand! In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in supporting the creative process and securing approval for restaurant designs. Your responsibilities will include offering creative assistance to the Senior leadership within the Design team, encompassing generating innovative ideas, developing designs, and overseeing drawing approvals for both current remodels and upcoming restaurant projects.
Responsibilities:
Act as the “Brand Guardian,” ensuring adherence to standards across all new and remodelled restaurants.
Review layouts for minor remodels, major remodels, as well as new restaurants annually.
Collaborate with internal Construction Managers, External Architects, and Franchisees to address design challenges
Occasionally attending site meetings for project briefings and evaluations.
Lead ad hoc design projects, such as crafting bespoke restaurant décor.
Provide comprehensive creative support to the Senior Creative Lead on various design projects, including conceptualising new restaurant designs and formats.
Manage the organisation and retrieval of relevant data, including drawings and photographs
Support the creation, distribution, and upkeep of Design Guidance materials.
About you;
Previous proven experience working in restaurant design
Blend creative thinking, commercial acumen, and a passion for food
Demonstrate a passion for understanding human insights and experience collaborating with research and insights agencies.
Exhibit a growth mindset
Embrace an experimental mindset, continuously seeking to test hypotheses and advance growth ambitions.
Fluent in consumer-centric communication with a deep understanding of the brand and menu vision.
Hold a current driving license and be willing to travel within the UK and Ireland, including overnight stays.
Intellectually curious, creative, and solution-driven, capable of making judgement calls under pressure.
Comfortable working autonomously, managing priorities effectively, and remaining self-motivated.
Maintain a positive attitude, inspiring colleagues and aligning with company culture.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient in AutoCAD, 3DS Max and Sketch up
Proven experience in design, space planning, retail, and equipment layouts.
Demonstrated ability to take concept designs through to delivery on-site.
Ideally, you will have experience in a national multi-unit retail environment.
