Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s Degree preferred or equivalent life experience in human services.
- Retail experience is highly preferred.
- Experience working with consumers with developmental disabilities preferred but not required.
- Good independent assessment, observation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively present oneself orally and in writing.
- Ability to exercise discretion and work independently with general supervision.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Must be able to communicate clearly and possess the ability to meet multiple job demands In a busy environment. May be required to transport students/consumers in personal vehicle. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
Job Purpose: To support the programs of Futures, Inc. consumers under the supervision of the Vice President of Social Enterprises. Provides job coaching services at Good Cause Gifts and at vendor shows. Supports consumers in the implementation of their programs including behavioral plans through direct service, monitoring of performance, and policy protocols; exercising discretion as well as independent judgment in specifically assigned area; and providing the necessary follow up and feedback to assist in achieving outcomes.

Responsibilities:
RETAIL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Vice President of Social Enterprises as needed in the daily operation of store.
- Supervise and train Adult Consumers to meet, greet and assist public in selecting gifts and other merchandise in the store and at vendor shows. This includes using POS system for sales.
- Assist the store manager and assigned consumers in the display and presentation of merchandise each season.
- Attends Vendor Shows with assigned consumers as needed. Supervise employees with disabilities at shows encouraging interaction and development of both social and employment skills.
- Under the direction of the store manager, direct sales associates (consumers) with disabilities to stock display merchandise and assist customers with their purchases.
