Join us as our Retail Marketing Manager, Tweed City (12 Month MTC)

  • This role is an excellent opportunity to maximise brand awareness and drive visitation to Tweed City Shopping Centre, as you use customer-driven insights to develop and execute the Centre marketing strategy including strategic campaigns and activations from inception to completion and post-campaign analysis.
  • A relaxed shopping destination, Tweed City is home to Big W, Kmart, Coles, and Woolworths. It’s a place for the local community and visiting tourists to connect, shop, socialise and be entertained.
  • A diverse, hands-on marketing role where you will own all aspects of the retail marketing strategy including events, activations, digital marketing, and insights.
  • We can offer this role for a period of 12 months.

About the role
As Retail Marketing Manager you will lead, manage, and execute the strategic marketing of Tweed City to drive customer traffic and loyalty, optimise sustainable sales and build the centre’s brand equity. A customer and stakeholder centric role you will drive, foster, and embed strong relationships with key strategic stakeholders, retailers and community groups to best position Tweed City and elevate the Centre’s rapport within the broader community.
You’ll drive the delivery of innovative Centre marketing campaigns in line with the Marketing Strategy to meet key objectives and deliver strong ROI.

You’ll have accountability over several Strategic, Operational & Financial initiatives including (but not limited to):

  • Develop, implement, and execute the annual marketing strategy leveraging National and Regional frameworks, with meaningful objectives, tactics and measurable KPI’s.
  • Draw on research and data analytics, market insights, retailer & customer feedback to make appropriate recommendations to inform strategy and position Tweed City for optimal success and performance.
  • Oversee the marketing budget ensuring the health of the promotional fund, allocation of budget aligned to strategy, active reforecasting, and sound budget management principles.
  • Complete analysis and reporting of retail sales performance, including sourcing retailer feedback monthly, and understanding key industry and market trends to be able to speak confidently to retailers and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the management of all marketing communications including digital and social channels in line with the centre’s digital strategy.
  • Become a trusted and respected voice for Tweed City in interactions with Centre Owners, offering strategic insight and vision to drive customer & retailer centric outcomes.
  • Work with retailers to ensure their support and participation in marketing campaigns and events.
  • Build relationships with key community groups to drive best representation of the brand within the local community and deliver appropriate social sustainability programs.

The skills you’ll need
To succeed in role, you’ll ideally need to have come from a Retail Marketing background, Shopping Centre specific experience is highly desirable.
You’ll be an all-round marketer, ideally with experience in the physical environments, bringing activations to life in a physical space.
You’ll have experience in managing a marketing budget and providing monthly reporting using online budgeting systems. It goes without saying that your written and verbal communication skills will be second to none.

You’ll also need.

  • A relevant degree or tertiary equivalent qualification in Marketing
  • At least 3-4 years industry experience in a marketing, brand, event activation or communications role.
  • Experience in developing and implementing successful traditional and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Incredible stakeholder management skills, with a proactive approach to building and fostering relationships and the ability to influence others.
