Our Client is one of the fastest growing retail chain in Asia Pacific, with a strong presence in China and the ASEAN region. There are looking to expand further into Singapore, with the country office being the central node in Asia. This role is suitable for someone who is seeking to expand the business rapidly, and should be someone who is entrepreneurial and have a keen eye for concepts that brings the best out of the brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and adjust short-term, medium, and long-term development strategies for the decoration division in response to internal and external environmental changes.
  • Lead design teams in conceptualizing and designing brand stores across Southeast Asian countries.
  • Oversee and optimize construction projects, including contractor procurement, project scheduling, logistics, and quality control.
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and payments for all construction projects, with a focus on special and critical initiatives.
  • Make strategic decisions and support supplier management and quantity survey processes.
  • Supervise and support the indirect procurement team to enhance furniture and construction quality while reducing costs.
  • Manage and support the supply chain team in areas such as batch ordering, master data management, and delivery coordination.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including retail partners, design agencies, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Stay updated on competitor activities, market trends, and customer initiatives, adapting and refining strategies accordingly.
  • Build and nurture competitive teams, fostering an environment that attracts, retains, and motivates talent.
  • Provide training, appraisal, and guidance to personnel and oversee cross-functional teams.
  • Utilize tools and resources to exceed business objectives, meeting annual performance goals.

Key Requirements:

  • Possess over 10 years of relevant working experience in project management in the Retail industry.
  • Strong creativity and team management skills.
  • Experience in designing projects across Southeast Asian countries, specifically Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
  • Prior involvement in major projects focused on high-end retail, boutique coffee shops, tea bars, or similar establishments.
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in cost management and negotiation to ensure cost-effective materials and processes.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the designated region for project oversight.
  • Effective performance in fast-paced environments.

The ideal candidate should has extensive experience in design and engineering within Southeast Asian countries, particularly in high-end establishments like boutique coffee shops, coffee bars, tea bars, fine dining restaurants, or similar upscale chain restaurants.
