As the Retention Marketing Chapter Lead at Spark NZ, you will play a pivotal role in developing the Marketing craft vision and strategy with a focus on retaining customers and driving business growth. REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong commercial acumen (gained by experience working in highly commercial marketing functions)
  • Experience in working with first, second and third party data with a strong understanding of privacy and legal protocol
  • Experience in driving practical adoption of martech
  • Experience in developing campaigns across digital and non-digital marketing channels
  • Strong understanding of marketing measurement techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in developing long-term marketing strategy and vision
  • Experience in leading and motivating teams

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute retention marketing strategies to reduce customer churn and increase customer lifetime value
  • Analyse customer data to identify at-risk customers and develop targeted retention campaigns
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of retention marketing programs and initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including acquisition, brand, retail-experience, data, martech and frontline channels, to ensure a consistent and effective customer experience
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and suppliers
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of retention marketing campaigns and make adjustments as needed
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in retention marketing
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance on retention marketing to internal and external stakeholders
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve Spark’s retention marketing efforts and drive business growth
  • Lead and inspire a team of retention marketing direct reports
  • Play an active role in the adoption of AI and automation efficiencies
  • Contribute to the overall success of Spark NZ by achieving retention marketing goals and objectives
