Rare opportunity to join DHL Supply Chain Australia in a Senior Management role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the IT program across our Lifesciences and Healthcare sector. As an integral part of our IT leadership team, and reporting directly to the Vice President IT, you will be accountable for ensuring that our digital supply chain solutions and services are driving success across our growing Transport and Warehouse businesses.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a team of IT professionals and creating a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, customer centricity and innovation
  • Building trusted relationships with employees and customers across our business, including partnering closely with senior management stakeholders
  • Collaboratively defining strategic sector roadmaps that will drive efficiency, effectiveness and innovation into the DHL business, and that will delight our customers
  • Ensuring that tactical tasks of delivering the sector roadmap and servicing our customers and operations are delivered efficiently and effectively with a high level of quality
  • Working closely with IT and operations subject matter experts on the effective design and implementation of highly complex solutions
  • As part of the country IT leadership team, contributing to the country and cluster IT strategy and focus
  • The effective management of the sector IT cost portfolio, ensuring that all IT costs deliver an effective return on investment
  • Collaborating with regional and global stakeholders to leverage DHL’s global subject matter expertise and strength
  • Ensuring the IT team deliver against all key targets and metrics defined to enable success

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in IT management at a senior level within a complex, service-related business
  • Experience in strategic planning and a demonstrated record of driving Continuous Improvement and delivering results
  • Commercial acumen with an ability to manage a multi layered and complex P&L with a focus on growth
  • Innovative and forward thinking leader who drives an engaging high performance culture
  • Previous experience within a 3PL supply chain environmen
