ROLE:

Greenval Insurance DAC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Arval Services Lease SA (‘’Arval”). The ultimate parent of both entities is BNP Paribas. Greenval provides motor insurance products specifically designed for the customers of Arval Service Lease SA (‘’Arval”).
Arval is a world-wide provider of full-service multi-brand vehicle leasing to professionals, SMEs, Corporate and Private Individuals. Greenval is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland and licensed to provide insurance throughout the European Union, principally on a Freedom of Services basis.
The Risk Management Function of Greenval is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the effectiveness of the company’s risk management system, ensuring the company has effective processes in place to identify and manage risks to which the company is or might be exposed and providing comprehensive and timely information on the company’s material risks which enables the Management and Board of Directors of Greenval to understand the overall risk profile of the company. The Risk Function in Greenval is resourced with a Chief Risk Officer and a Senior Risk Analyst.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Function in terms of oversight and monitoring of all risk management activities.
  • Understand new and emerging risks and support the business with developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Evaluate strategic, financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor and track risk exposures and support the Function in providing regular reports.
  • Implement risk management policies, procedures, and tools as per Group Policies.
  • Support in performing Check & Challenge across the Greenval control environment, inclusive of areas such as Finance, Actuarial, Claims, Underwriting, Third Party Risk Management, Business Continuity, and ICT, Conduct etc.
  • Participate in the internal control program testing (Second Line of Defence controls / investigations) to meet all internal company and BNP Paribas Group requirements along with regulatory requirements.
  • On selected processes, perform audits and independent testing.
  • Support as necessary the Internal Control Committees.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure risk management is integrated into operations.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and regulatory requirements related to risk management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE:

  • Third level qualification in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or related field
  • Accountancy qualification with minimum of 1-2 years’ experience
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
