Role purpose
This role will work with the Risk, Compliance and Insurance team to administer a comprehensive, tailored risk management and compliance framework for Vicinity. The objectives of the role are to mitigate operational and regulatory risks to Vicinity’s various business areas by ensuring the risk management and compliance frameworks are embedded in Vicinity’s day to day operations, and to provide insights and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the maintenance of Vicinity’s risk and compliance frameworks including maintenance of compliance and risk registers, administrative and reporting tasks.
  • Conduct monitoring and assurance activity to ensure effective implementation and management of key controls.
  • Work with the business to assess risk by analysing, identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business.
  • Develop risk and compliance presentations and reports.
  • Analyse risk, compliance and incident data across the business to identify key trends, procedural or compliance gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintenance of the policy governance framework to ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and reflect the required approval profile.
  • Support the execution of strategic initiatives and projects by working with stakeholders to identify and address execution and ongoing business regulatory and operational risks.
  • Assist with the successful management of insurance claims, together with identifying opportunities to reduce the risk of claims across Vicinity.

Capability and Experience

  • Risk management, compliance and/or audit.
  • Understanding of Governance, Risk and Compliance systems.
  • Experience in analysing risk and compliance incidents and preparing associated reporting.
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft suite particularly Excel.
  • Understanding of regulatory obligations applicable to Vicinity.
