The Team & Focus of the Role
Our people and our clients are at the heart of everything we do here at Fisher German, to continue to provide our excellent service we’re now on the lookout for a Risk & Compliance Lawyer to join our head office to support the firm’s risk and compliance team and to help support our strategy over the coming years.
This role will really suit you if you have had a background within a legal firm across several general compliance matters that would affect a RICS related firm or areas around issues such as financial crime and data protection. If you’re looking for a step into an in-house role or are already operating in-house and want a fresh challenge to help drive our risk & compliance function forward, then we’d love to hear from you!
The role will be based from our Ashby de la Zouch office (alongside hybrid working). Ideally, we’re looking for someone full-time (37.5 hours) however open to discussing part-time/flexible working arrangements as long as our core hours of 10am – 4pm are covered (minimum 30 hours per week).

Duties will include:

  • Working closely with our risk and compliance team to provide risk, regulatory and compliance support
  • Helping to set up and maintain excellent standards across the firm
  • Be a champion for professional conduct and ethical matters
  • Drafting policies and standard terms
  • Advise colleagues on risk & compliance matters
  • Contribute to the wider team and the wider growth plans of the business and department

The successful candidate will have…

  • Experience of working on general compliance matters affecting a RICS regulated firm
  • Knowledge and understand of the RICS Conduct Rules
  • Experience of advising on matters relating to financial crime & data protection
  • Relevant background such as a RICS related firm or and SRA/Legal profession
  • 4-5 years PQE
  • Experience of working to ISO quality standards
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft packages experience
