SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
- Demonstrated 5+ years experience working in risk management, assurance, or related disciplines within complex manufacturing environments
- Key skills in risk framework development including incident management and business continuity frameworks and development and implementation of risk tools which support frameworks
- Strong stakeholder relations, customer service and communication skills with proven collaborative abilities, actively supporting the business to understand and identify their risks and associated controls
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills applying logic to difficult problems and establishing effective solutions
- Ssystematic approaches to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of frameworks, processes, and policies.
- Demonstrated skills in leading incident resolution, root cause analysis and establishment of corrective actions including follow up of actions through to completion

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a key player to join our team as a Risk Management Specialist (BCP/Incident Management).
This is a pivotal role in our business where you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing our risk management frameworks including leading our Business Continuity Management and Incident Management processes. This multifaceted role acts as the key liaison and provides a second line of defence of risk management and assurance services across the business.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- Maintain and improve of Synlait’s Risk Frameworks including Risk Management, Incident Management and Business Continuity Management.
- Support the management of Strategic risks that impact Strategy and drive collaboration with Executive management to establish and maintain risk controls
- Lead the Risk Management Framework implementation, driving a strong risk culture and ensuring appropriate levels of governance
- Provide second line of defence support across the business in delivery of risk services and controls assurance
- Provision of advice and guidance in the development and implementation of efficient and effective controls and strategies
- Demonstrating a professional, partnering and customer centric approach in delivery of high quality services.
- Leading incident resolution services partnering with the business to undertake root cause analysis to identify control weaknesses and establishment of appropriate corrective actions
