YOUR EXPERIENCE
- TAFE, Tertiary, or Qualification in Business or Engineering, or equivalent.
- Proven demonstrated ability to manage risk on large/complex projects
- Good working knowledge of AS/NZS ISO 31000:2018 – Risk Management Principles and guidelines.
- Familiarity with the Australian Defence Forces Risk Management Framework (DRMF).
- Experienced in Primavera and Scheduling Tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Open Plan).
- Use of Schedule risk analysis tools such as Acumen Risk and ARM by SWORD or equivalent.
- Use of Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) tools such as Primavera Risk Analysis or Acumen Risk or similar to develop probabilistic schedules (P80 and P90, etc.) for both cost and schedule.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Manager to join our dynamic team at Garden Island. You will play a pivotal role in independently managing and leading Risk & Opportunity Management activities for bids, projects, programs, and portfolios within the Above Water Systems Business. Your expertise in both qualitative and quantitative risk management, coupled with a strategic and operational mindset, will be essential in ensuring the success of our projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Bid, Project, Control Account, and Work Package Managers in developing and maintaining Risk & Opportunity Management data.
- Ensure accurate representation of work, monitoring deviations to the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
- Implement a robust Risk Management Process compliant with ISO:31000:2018 and the Defence Risk Management Framework (DRMF).
- Lead Quantitative Risk Analysis, including Monte Carlo simulations.
- Manage Program Risk and Opportunities, ensuring proper capture, description, and assignment.
- Coordinate and oversee Risk Mitigation projects and actions.
- Ensure compliance of all risk management elements with IBR contractual requirements.
