Embark on a career with Toll Group that’s more than just a job - it’s a chance to be at the forefront of our strategic evolution.
We are on the lookout for a Risk Manager, who is not only experienced but also eager to take on a role that demands a hands on approach while offering exposure to our broad senior leadership team.
Reporting to the General Manager Risk, Governance and Reporting, you be part of a dynamic team and environment, while making a tangible impact on our global operations.
As a Risk Manager, you will:
- Lead the delivery of professional enterprise risk services that maximize the long-term sustainability of Toll’s profitability and return on capital globally.
- Engage with personnel within Toll’s operating business units, divisions, and group functions to promote the company’s values and foster a culture that values and understands the importance of effective risk management.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the risk processes and act as a catalyst for positive change by constructively challenging assumptions and existing ways of working.
- Lead risk workshops and develop risk profiles for the business unit to drive innovation across the business and assure the long-term sustainability of its financial and operational performance.
- Develop customised risk and control registers and undertake detailed analytical discussion to support conclusions, recognize relevant themes, and make connections that are not obvious to others.
What makes this role stand out:
- Direct Influence: Your hands-on work will have a direct impact on shaping our risk framework and the future of our organization.
- Growth Potential: The role offers a wealth of opportunities for professional development, with a variety of projects and activities that will expand your skill set.
- Leadership Interaction: Regular interaction with our senior leaders will provide you with insights that have a real influence on strategic decision-making.
To ensure your success, you will possess:
- 10+ years’ experience in risk/internal audit (including a combination of a Big 4 professional services environment and work with large, complex multinational businesses subject to a high degree of regulatory requirements).
- Demonstrated ability to operationalize enterprise risk management frameworks and elevate the understanding of risk management among stakeholders.
- Good understanding of risk/internal controls models (e.g., 3 Lines of Defense, COSO Controls Framework, COSO ERM Framework) and exposure to other adjacent concepts and frameworks, for example, crisis management, business continuity management, and cyber security, would be considered advantageous.
- Ability to challenge the status quo, with strong relationship-building skills to partner with diverse teams to deliver innovative solutions.
- Preference for transport, logistics, or warehouse industry experience or similar (manufacturing, retail/consumer goods, services industries) but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential. Candidates with an Asian-region second language would be highly regarded.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Commerce/Management degree or equivalent
- Professional designations (e.g. CPRA, CPRM, CA, CPA, or CIA)
