Description:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent

    This role can be located in Milan, Luxembourg or Munich.
    We are looking for a Risk Manager for a key customer trust feature available in Amazon stores worldwide. This feature makes it easy for shoppers to alert Amazon about issues on our product pages. The Risk Manager role involves interacting with several systems and using large data sets to identify potential risks, discovering patterns of risks, performing comprehensive investigations of potential abuse, writing reports to describe the results of the investigations and suggest corrective actions, presenting reports to multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership, and driving the implementation of corrective actions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Leading and supporting Program and Product teams in responding to, investigating, managing and resolving high-impact incidents and escalations around various abuse issues.
  • Taking a leading role in drafting and presenting deep-dive documents, including responses to senior executives.
  • Analyzing existing policy and process gaps, and developing solutions to close them.
  • Owning and/or managing projects designed to improve operational and process efficiency. This will include accessing and analyzing data and working extensively with both internal and external teams.
  • Be comfortable using data to analyze trends, predict and fix problems before they happen.
  • Using high-level judgment to own our most complex enforcement decisions.

A day in the life

  • Planning tasks and milestones to complete a risk evaluation.
  • Identifying root causes by obtaining/analyzing data and reviewing the current processes.
  • Conducting deep dives into anecdotes, using multiple tools to find the facts.
  • Writing documents that presents investigation findings, risk areas with data, and clear suggestions on how to mitigate those risk.

  • Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
  • Experience with SQL and Excel
  • Experience in program requirements definition, together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements
