Risk & Performance Analyst

PRE-REQUISITES

• At least a university degree in a quantitative discipline such as computing or IT-related
• At least 1 to 5 years of working experience preferably in a financial services organisation
• Highly proficient in SQL, Access and Excel and programming/macro writing skills
• Quantitatively inclined, analytical and highly organised and meticulous in handling voluminous amount of data
• Logical and methodical in solving quantitative issues effectively
• Self-driven in wanting to complete tasks in the shortest possible timeAble to work/learn independently as well as in a team

JOB PURPOSE

To meet the firm’s demand for performance attribution/portfolio risk monitoring and analyses.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and ensure the integrity of performance portfolio and index data
• Scrub and load clean data into performance and risk systems
• Generate performance and attribution reports and rectify spurious results
• Evaluate calculations to ensure accuracy in reports
• Provide support to portfolio managers, business development and RFIs/RFPs on performance related issues
• Liaise with external service providers when required
• Develop, document and improve department’s processes and procedures
• Perform quantitative and qualitative assessment on overall portfolio risk exposures and highlight exceptions for further action
• Monitor investment portfolios to ensure compliance with approved risk parameters/limitsMaintain the firm’s compliance with GIPS (Global Investment Performance Standards)
