Job Description
Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) provides essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. RMHC strives to be part of the solution to issues challenging families today. Families are challenged with how to stay near and support a hospitalized child; how to afford staying together in another city while a child is undergoing treatment; or even getting basic medical and dental care in underserved communities. We use our resources and partnerships in the community to help families gain access to healthcare services and keep families together during critical points in their children’s lives.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The Individual Giving Specialist will serve as a key member of the Development team, with a focus on supporting the Individual Giving efforts on cultivation and stewardship deliverables. This person will serve as the liaison for individuals contacting the organization to inquire about philanthropic opportunities, providing clear and timely service to help drive support for RMHC Global. This person will also assist in the execution of successful mid-level and major gift strategies, including prospect research, proposal development, administrative support, and stewardship of individual donors.
Responsibilities:
The Development team is responsible for the creation and execution of the organization’s global fundraising strategies. The team is responsible for an average $20 million in philanthropic funds and investments annually. Cash and in-kind donations are secured through an array of tactics including: major gift acquisition and stewardship; individual donor campaigns; planned gifts; foundation grants; corporate partnerships; and cause related marketing campaigns.
