About ECHO
ECHO Community Services is a registered charity providing care to the elderly to help them live in their own home with dignity while still maintaining their independence.
We provide in-home services 7 days per week for Home Care Package and 5 days per week for CHSP.
Our goal is to provide services at the same time, on the same day and with the same team of Support Workers which means that you know the people who are coming and the time they will arrive. Having the same support workers providing services, in particular, medication prompts and personal care, maintains the person’s dignity and well-being. You know and can trust the people attending. There is continuity of care for people who receive our services.

DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Community Care Manager and Service Team Leader this position is accountable for the coordination and maintenance of scheduling for ECHO clients and staff. It is accountable for accurately and effectively rostering staff while considering client service requirements, employee skill sets, and cost-effective service provision.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential

  • Significant scheduling experience in community care - HCP, NDIS
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team
  • Ability to maximise scheduling efficiencies
  • Superior planning and organisational skills, including the ability to proactively manage multiple competing priorities under pressure.
  • Honest, trustworthy, reliable.

Competency

  • Teamwork – demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to effectively plan and organise.
  • Time Management - demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise work tasks
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite applications.
  • Above average interpersonal and communication skills
  • Above average numerical skills.
  • Abstract reasoning and problem solving skills.
  • Proven Attention to detail.
  • Fluent and clearly spoken English language skill.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in scheduling home care services.
  • Current Motor Vehicle licence

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling ECHO’s Client care services, including ‘in-home’ care, home gardening and maintenance (HGM), and community-based activities for clients.
  • Ensuring scheduling activities meet/exceed internal and external audit standards.
  • Processing service assignments to agreed timeframes.
  • Generating service assignments and communicating with the support team
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure timely assignment of services to clients
