Rotational Occupational Therapist

To provide a high standard therapy service within the occupational therapy team across the two rotations. To perform occupational therapy assessments of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions. To be able to assess, diagnose, plan and deliver an individualised treatment programme. To hold responsibility for own caseload mostly working without direct supervision.
Supervision takes the form of regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, case conferences. Access to advice and support from a senior therapist is available and technical work is routinely evaluated. To provide occupational therapy input into the discharge planning for inpatients. To participate in the supervision, education and assessment of the performance of therapy work experience/students; this would be to a graduate standard and involve feedback to the senior member of staff ultimately responsible.
To participate in the teams development, training, audit and research To ensure the maintenance of a high standard of service provision maximising patient recovery and function.
