The Lynn facility’s products are steeped in innovation, and the facility is constantly evolving and creating new technology to introduce the next generation of engines and enhance the existing product line.
The Product Support Engineer (PSE) Module Owner is responsible to deliver maximum customer value by driving customer responsiveness and diagnostics while driving to minimize direct maintenance cost for assigned hardware. In this role you will identify fleet leading indicators, participate as team member implementing NPI programs for fielded engines while maintaining continued airworthiness of certified engines and maintain the outstanding customer service GE Aviation is noted for.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to operators, maintainers and field service engineers in troubleshooting Turboshaft engine hardware issues.
  • Further enhance the reputation of GE and the product in the field through superior technical support by developing expertise on assigned hardware.
  • Own Change in Design (CID) authorship/approver for Product Support for assigned engine hardware.
  • Establish and maintain Leading Indicator plans for assigned engine hardware working with depots.
  • Participate in Hardware scrap reviews.
  • Participate on NPI programs to enhance assigned engine hardware performance, durability, maintainability, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. Provide support to Engineering for development of NPI solution.
  • Develop and own Weibuls for assigned engine hardware for the Maintenance Cost Models.
  • Provide prompt and detailed communication of engine hardware issues both externally and internally.
  • Participate as team member on field event investigations for assigned hardware.
  • Maintain assigned hardware sections of both the Engine Maintenance and Shop manuals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 3+ years of technical experience with turbine engines or aircraft (or a minimum high school diploma / GED with an additional 4+ years of technical experience with turbine engines or aircraft).
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
