Description:
Scale House Operator
Location: Bloomington Compost
Position Type: Contract
Reporting: Office Supervisor
Hours: Monday to Friday 12:00pm - 6:00pm. Saturday 7:00am - 3:00pm
Responsibilities
In the position of Scale Operator, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- The weighing of vehicles IN and OUT at a reasonable pace to ensure accuracy of tickets and cash transactions
- You will perform visual inspections of loads at scale (only) for contamination purposes as well as direct traffic to proper drop off locations.
- You will familiarize yourself with products in order to assist customers with their needs
- You will review all tickets, cash register and global payments receipts to ensure they are correct and assist with paperwork as required, Answer telephone enquiries, take orders and direct calls.
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Punctual with good attendance
- Ensure you are aware of and always work within MWS’s safety guidelines
- Assisting customers with directions, questions
Requirements
- Must possess excellent entrepreneurial, verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Word and Excel, strong PC based systems knowledge; with excellent keyboarding skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Previous customer service/sales experience an asset
- Outstanding customer service is a key. You must be a team player, with demonstrated safe working habits and a good attendance record.
- You may be required to work extended hours, Saturdays are also a must
- You will be required to stand for long periods of time
