About the role
We are now seeking a mature, energetic, well-presented person to take up the full-time position of Front Office Manager. This position will suit those who have a genuine passion in delivering superior guest service at all times in a warm friendly manner. In doing so you will become an integral member of our Front Office team that believes in and exercises this service culture.
This role suits somebody that is continuously willing to go beyond their checklist, learn more and strives for excellence within the team. Your rapport with guests and staff is outstanding and you have a proven record of developing and coaching staff.

Skills & experience

  • Middle Management experience in a 4-5 star hotel or similar environment
  • The ability to multi-task
  • You have a working knowledge of hotel property management systems such as Opera, and Micros
  • Training, coaching, development and retention experience
  • Organizational skills with strong verbal and written communication
  • A current Manager’s Certificate, First Aid Certificate and a full driver’s license preferred.
  • Maintain staff morale and team cohesion through productive and positive leadership, actively seek and implement ways to increase team morale, develop and retain team members.
  • Accurately record, track and review training and development within the department.
  • Direct, supervise and assist colleagues to ensure a high level of productivity and service standard within the department at all times.
  • Ensure a full understanding of all job responsibilities within the Front Office Department in order to cover this position in their absence.
  • Support and actively cultivate an environment of positive service within the department to ultimately achieve a level of service quality that consistently meets and exceeds the expectations of guests and team members.
  • Work with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure room standards are maintained.
