About the role
Rydges Bankstown is a 120 room, 4 star hotel located on the Hume Highway in Bass Hill. The property features a restaurant, bar, and conferencing facilities.
We are seeking applications from a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to oversee the Reception Team on a Full Time basis as Front Office Manager.
The Front Office Manager will maintain the highest guest service standard consistently. They will ensure the safety, security and smooth running of ALL other hotel operations in the absence of senior Management.

A professional attitude and absolute passion for customer service is vital for success in this role, as well as time management and sound problem solving skills. Your day-to-day tasks will look like;

  • Recruit, train, manage and provide leadership to the team
  • Manage guest experiences for the best possible outcomes
  • Staff roster management
  • Work alongside the team to ensure best outcomes for the department and communicate regularly with the General Manager
  • Ensure our guests have the best possible experience – manage guest/review feedback
  • Ensure the safety and security of our guests and Team
  • Liaise with other hotel departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and presentation, keeping all work areas both front of house and back of house clean and in working order

Skills & experience

  • The ability to work a variety of shifts and flexibility with hours
  • Previous Front Office management experience; would consider a strong AFOM ready to take that next step!
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including written and spoken English
  • Experience using Opera
  • Clear understanding of revenue and yield strategies
  • Online reputation management experience, preferably TrustYou
  • Experience with weekly roster management
