Description:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- You have an Engineering degree or diploma.
- You have at least 2-8 years of technology development experience in a design role within rapidly growing new technology fields.You have excellent grasp of first principles in mechanical engineering, fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
BONUS SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- You have experience designing with Creo CAD and Ansys FEA.
- You have experience of advancing technology from an immature to advanced state.
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
As a SAB Design Engineer, you will have delivery responsibility for the design of Svante’s SAB’s. You will apply your knowledge of materials, structures, manufacturing and joining techniques from traditional to leading edge technologies. You will be involved with all aspects of the evolution of the SAB design, including design validation and verification activities, maturing the current emerging technology to a robust, high-volume product.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE:
- You will deliver Engineering and Technology Packages and resources (ETP) to the Structured Adsorbent Bed Manufacturing Team within agreed targets and requirements.
- You will support advanced development activities in progressing the characterization of the SAB components and interfaces.
- You will develop testing and characterization techniques for design validation and supporting jigs and fixtures.
- You will develop and maintain design decision records (DDR) and design for manufacture and assembly evaluations (DFMA) with manufacturing source input.
- You will develop qualification and product validation methodologies for SABs to be applied to the DVP&R, as derived from the FMEAs.You will maintain the DVP&R in planning and reporting.
