Description:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Enthusiastic and Innovative
  • Physically fit for outdoor activities
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Commitment to sustainability, with a focus on Fair Trade practices
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
  • Relevant FGASA (Field Guide Association of Southern Africa) qualification
  • Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
  • Wilderness first aid certificate (equivalent to a level 2 first aid)
  • Preferably a skipper’s license
  • Proven track record of successfully managing Safari and activity departments
  • Strong understanding of the hospitality industry and guest service standards

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the Safari and guest activity departments
  • Oversee all Safari staff, providing leadership, training, and support
  • Ensure health and safety of guests and staff
  • Manage game viewing vehicles and boats, ensuring safety and maintenance standards are met
  • Expand the current range of game drives, boat cruises, and cultural trips to include more active and interesting offerings for our guests
  • Drive revenue through effective booking strategies at the reservation stage and for in-house guests
  • Prioritize sustainability initiatives, aligning with Fair Trade principles
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience
