Contract type: Permanent, part time (37 hours per week / 40 weeks per year)
Salary: NJC Scale, Grade 5, SP 12-17 (Fte £26,421 - £28,770/ Actual £23,105 - £25,159 per annum)
Felixstowe School are seeking an excellent candidate who is tenacious and shows attention to detail in order to provide effective information and support for student safeguarding matters, which continually enhances the quality of pupil safety.
This is an exciting time to join our journey of improvement and play a key part in transforming the lives of our young people.

The successful candidate will:

• Act as an alternative designated safeguarding leads;
• Liaise with external agencies and practitioners from support agencies to ensure individual needs for pupils are met;
• Complete referrals to professional agencies;
• Attend professionals’ meetings for named children;
• Manage a case load of students with safeguarding needs;
• Visit alternative provision providers to ensure safe practice is maintained and pupils are in attendance;
• Conduct home visits;
• Assist in the overall raising of student standards and achievements, through raising students’ esteem, expectations and aspirations.
