Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator will support the implementation & adherence to our Safety programs. You will work closely with the Safety Manager, EHS Specialist, and operational teams to promote safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols. Your contributions will help create a strong safety culture within our organization and contribute to the well-being of our workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety policies. Conduct routine safety inspections to identify potential hazards and safety violations.
  • Site Audits: Conduct regular site audits to assess safety conditions and identify potential hazards. Collaborate with the EHS Specialist to implement corrective actions and improve safety performance.
  • Incident Support: Assist in incident investigations, documenting incident reports, and recommending corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Safety Training: Support safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors. Help coordinate and track safety-related training and certifications.
  • OSHA Compliance: Stay updated on OSHA regulations and communicate changes to relevant teams. Assist in preparing and submitting safety-related reports as required.
  • KPA EHS Platform: Utilize the KPA EHS platform for safety documentation, including maintaining accurate records of safety-related data, incident reports, safety training materials, and compliance documentation.
  • Safety Culture Promotion: Collaborate with the EHS Specialist to organize safety awareness campaigns and initiatives, fostering a strong safety culture within the organization.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Assist in the development and maintenance of emergency response plans. Participate in emergency drills and ensure employees are aware of emergency procedures.
  • Safety Communication: Support safety communication efforts, such as posting safety bulletins and distributing safety-related information to employees.
  • Safety Program Improvement: Provide input and suggestions to enhance the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives. Participate in safety improvement projects as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a safety-related role or familiarity with OSHA regulations is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of safety principles, procedures, and best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and a safety-conscious mindset.
  • Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and promote safety awareness.
