Weyerhaeuser Company is currently accepting applications for a temporary Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator for our OSB facility located in Hudson Bay, SK
This position will be a temporary contract until July 2026, or upon return of incumbent.
We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic & a desire to work in a manufacturing facility.
This position primarily works eight (8) hours a day, Monday-Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Role model environmental stewardship as a leader in the facility
- Develop & implement environmental safety policies, procedures & programs.
- Ensure environmental compliance related activities (i.e., environmental permit requirements) are robust, maintained, and regulatory and company policy requirements are met.
- Ensure that environmental inspections and recordkeeping are up to date.
- Support environmental compliance audits at the facility & participate in offsite audits at other Weyerhaeuser units.
- Consistently convey key leadership messages to Lead Team members and the mill on progress and issues.
- Conduct environmental training for all associates.
- Serve as the primary contact for all environmental corporate & regulatory agency requests & inquiries.

Qualifications
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Comfortable with public speaking.
- Working towards certification or already certified in Environmental Related profession is preferred
- Working towards certification or already certified, in the Occupational Health and Safety profession is preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial hygiene is considered an asset.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.
- Ownership and commitment to safety and risk assessment.
- Willingness and ability to wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Proficient with presentation, database, and office software.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills are essential.
- Industrial Manufacturing experience is a strong asset.
- This is a safety-sensitive position; candidates must be able to pass the pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $72,300 - $102,600 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience.
