Job Description

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred experience in planning and performing internal audits and monitoring/preparation for external audit requirements, with experience of 45001 & 14001 preferable.
  • Reporting and investigating accidents and incidents, facilitating incident reviews with senior leadership and reviewing the effectiveness of any lessons learned.
  • Experience or ability to coordinate and cooperate with external authorities.
  • Safety inspections of workplaces with the external medical service.
  • Organizing and supervising quarterly work committee meetings (ASA meetings).
  • Coordination and support for the Safety Officers in offices as required.
  • Fluency in German with good knowledge of English.
  • Necessary professional certification or working towards a qualification that enables them to use the professional title of Safety Engineer to meet the requirements of DGUV Regel 2 and AsiG.

Responsibilities:

  • Good knowledge of relevant German legislation, regulations and insurance requirements including AsiG ( Arbeitssicherheitsgesetz) and DGUV Regel 2.
  • Good communication skills to provide support and advice to project teams on SH&E issues and engagement with external clients.
  • Experience in occupational health and safety and construction health and safety.
  • Experience and development of training and instruction on SH&E issues.
  • Collaboration and preparation of workplace risk assessments and requirements for hazardous substances.
  • Ability to develop new, adopt regional-wide SH&E initiatives and manage appropriately.
  • Manage in-country SH&E metrics for reporting in-country and region-wide with EUR&I SH&E team.
  • Provide support regarding SH&E-related equipment and tools used in the field.
  • Actively collaborate and participate on forthcoming initiatives, procedure development and methods to simplify our approach to SH&E in-country.
  • Advising management on HSE issues and advising managers and employees on SH&E issues and providing concise SH&E reporting for the Country.
