Team Overview:
As the leader of the Investigations team for Spanish Speaking Latam (SSL), you will become an engine in a data-driven organization. This team focuses on enhancing the safety of the platform in all business lines and services by identifying safety improvements in app and in our internal processes. You will enjoy working with one of the richest data sets in the world, cutting-edge technology, and the ability to see your insights turned into real products on a regular basis.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Defining the scope of investigations, developing strategies, and assessing investigative approaches in coordination with the Director of Safety Operations for specific assignments. Additionally, it includes assigning investigations and reviewing investigation plans within the designated region as necessary;
  • Coordinates all the investigative activities related to the investigation team; proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and coordinates their implementation with the main stakeholders.
  • Manages the timely progress of the investigations, and effectively manages the communication with internal and external stakeholders, and the Safety Operations Director
  • Ensures the application of professional internal investigating principles, standards and internal guidelines by the Investigations team to conduct investigations, overall responsibility for preparing a comprehensive and detailed Investigations report and delivering an executive summary that is concise and to the point;
  • Informs the Safety Operations Director and all other relevant internal stakeholders of the findings at the end of the investigation;
  • Partner with the safety online team and product to deliver relevant insight to improve the safety team
  • Manage assertive communication with stakeholders who request deep dive, finding gaps and giving them recommendations to improve
  • Provides the Safety Operations Director with all necessary information on ongoing investigations. Leads and manages projects, leading and performing fraud and operational investigations, providing analyses, documentsdocumens, and reviews;
  • Improves investigative processes, ensures the level of quality and efficiency across the Investigations team, manages its assigned region within the compliance and legal functions, and ensures training is provided to local and regional related functions;

Role Qualifications:

  • You have a strong academic background or a professional education. Additionally, a solid experience in internal and fraud investigations is an advantage.
  • You are Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written), other languages are welcome.
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant, in-depth investigation experience in ride-hailingride hailing or internet industry is desired.
  • You possess exceptional team player qualities and demonstrate leadership skills
  • You bring a resilient ’never give up’ attitude, exceptional negotiation skills, a creative mindset, and valuable experience in stakeholder management
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, technical, and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to different cultures complete your profile
  • You are data driven, making assessments and solving problems using data.
  • Expertise in Excel, SQL, managing data, and using it appropriately as the investigation background.
