We are seeking an experienced Safety & Quality Officer for an immediate start for a transport company.
The main responsibility of the role will be:
- Implementation and auditing of the Safety Management System.
- Undertaking and Assisting with Incident investigations and preparation of safety reports.
- Manage and maintain HSE registers and compiling weekly/monthly SH&Q reports.
- Ensuring compliance with SH&Q policies and procedures.
- Discussing, monitoring and assisting the staff in the safe delivery of on-site activities.
- Provision of sound technical SH&Q advice to site teams.
- Focus on continuous improvement and the implementation of initiatives to effectively manage HS risk.
The successful candidate Must have:
- Relevant WHS qualifications (Certificate IV or higher).
- Knowledge of relevant State WHS
- Strong ability to lead and manage change and ability to influence managers and other stakeholders.
- Confident user of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
- Effective collaborator with excellent communication skills.
- C Class Driver’s License.
- Current 1st Aid Certificate
- Police Clearance
- Passport and ability to travel at short notice.
